Applying with us
Your data, and how to spot a real approach from us
What we ask for, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and how to tell a genuine FORCEFORE® recruiter from someone using our name.
What we ask you for
Only what a recruiter needs to answer you. Nothing is bought from anywhere, and nothing is shared with another company.
- Name and email
- To identify your file and to write back to you.
- Phone number
- Optional. Given as a country code and a number, and stored encrypted.
- CV, cover letter, portfolio
- Only the ones the offer actually asks for. Each offer states which.
- The moment you agreed
- The date and time you ticked the consent box are recorded with your file.
What happens to your application
- A first automatic pass Your file is checked against what the offer requires before a recruiter reads it. If a required document is missing, cannot be read or has nothing to do with the offer, the application is declined at this stage and you are told why by email. You can then apply again straight away.
- A recruiter reads it A person takes it from there. You are told either way.
- A first interview By video, on our own portal. Never on a consumer messaging app.
- A skills assessment Only for some roles, and always announced beforehand.
- A decision, then an offer You are told whichever way it goes.
How long we keep it
Your file and its documents are kept for two years from the day you applied, not from the day we answer. After that, a nightly job deletes the documents first, then removes what identifies you from the account.
You do not have to take our word for the date: your own dashboard shows the exact day your file reaches its end, computed from the same figure the deletion uses.
How it is protected
- Your phone number
- Encrypted before it is written down, with a key that never leaves our servers.
- Your documents
- Held on a separate server, reachable only through a link that expires, and only by you and the recruiters on your file.
- Your uploads
- Checked before anyone opens them. A file that fails is quarantined, not delivered.
Recognising a real approach from us
People do use studio names to run recruitment scams. Here is what is always true of us.
Seen something that does not match? Tell us and we will confirm whether it came from us.
Your rights over your data
You can ask to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted before the two years are up. Write to us and we answer you, whether or not you are still in a process with us.
Two of these you can do yourself, without writing to anyone: download a copy of everything we hold about you, or delete your account. Both are in your settings, in your candidate space.
